Melody Bar Reunion, Only 7 Weeks Away!

It's hard to believe, but the next reunion is in only 7 weeks. It should be another spectacular event, with the one and only Matt Pinfield and a collection of guest DJ's including Ed Wong, Pete Santiago, Sean Carolan and Lisa Uber. Hopefully this year Andy Prescott will be there too! We'll run from 7 pm to 1 am, and I expect an even bigger crowd than last time.

I will be contacting the Hyatt in NB to block off some rooms for our event, so why not get a room, and have all the fun you want at the party, then just walk(stagger) a few blocks to a warm bed.

Remember, the event is for those 36 and up and will be enforced as always at the door by big John. But spouses and partners of any age are welcome, so if you 're into the young stuff, bring 'em along. I hope we will continue our tradition of having a few pregnant gals rocking out on the dance floor, that's a nice sight to see! Good music is good for the unborn so they say...

Anyway, I'll see you in Feb and will send out any last minute details as we get closer. Remember that all the proceeds from the bar go to the Elk's registered charities which I believe are listed on their websites.

We've stood by as truly independent alternative rock radio died. Sure, something called "alternative" took its place, but we know for sure that anything that "tests well" with soccer moms just ain't alternative. (Even if some of us happen to be soccer moms.) So we've taken matters into our own hands.

This really is independent alternative rock radio, visible here at Altrok.com and audible at our web radio station. It has the classic music that fired our passions back in the day - or that we maybe only heard about from our elders - but it's mostly made of the new music that does precisely the same for us now. We're paying attention to scenes all over the world, watching the energy build, and waiting to see what it creates. Wherever it happens, we'll make sure you can hear about it here. We've been slowly building all this since 2001, and now that you've noticed us, we're glad you're here.
